The Chinese culture is famous for their elegant clothes and costumes. There a great many Chinese costumes for men and women to fit any occasion. An elegant Chinese dress, Kungfu Suit, and Tai Chi outfit are very popular for events such as Chinese New Year, beauty contests, talent shows, Halloween, and more.
The Cheongsam
The Cheongsam is the traditional Chinese dress. It is also known as the Qipao when the dress has a tight fitting shape.This dress is most commonly made from a silk material with a smooth and shiny surface. The Qipao is characteristic of its short sleeves, high collar, and long split skirt to show off the legs.
The Kung Fu Suit
This costume is simple and swift. It is highly recognized by all people from its uses in hollywood movies as the black jacket with lose white cuffs. Bruce Lee wore it in his hit movie Enter The Dragon. Wearing one makes you feel empowered with Kung Fu power.
The Tai Chi Suit
This costume is a more classic Kung Fu variation. Its well recognized by its horizontal fasteners and loose sleeves and pants. Its wore often when practicing Tai Chi.
The Mao Suit
This Chinese costume is named after Mao Zedong of course because he would always be seen wearing this style of suit. It was a way the Chinese thought to modernize their clothing without copying the styles of other countries. It is a suit that has become recoginzed with China and the communist political government.
